TerraVerdae’s industrial bioprocess is based on a class of well characterized and ubiquitous, non-pathogenic organisms capable of utilizing reduced carbon compounds such as methane, methanol, as well as a range of other one-carbon sources. These organisms are attractive to bio-factories as they are capable of producing a range of industrially important natural products. They are also ideally suited for optimizing production of a number of high value synthetic products.
Synthetic Biology Metabolic Engineering TerraVerdae’s synthetic biology and metabolic engineering technology is based on a set of powerful tools including a proprietary microbial protein expression system that utilizes a highly controllable and well regulated microbial system for producing high value proteins and cell products. The system can be customized to encompass a wide range of applications. It is ideal for production of recombinant and native proteins, bioactive peptides, high GC content proteins, and complex or toxic cell products.

Polymer Composites and Industrial Chemistry TerraVerdae’s microbial system is an ideal production factory for a number of important platform chemicals and polymers. The system is highly efficient for production of a number of poly-hydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), including polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB), a highly interesting bio-based polymer with a range of potential applications including biodegradable plastics or as a backbone scaffold for biodegradable composites. TerraVerdae’s PHA/PHB production system is highly flexible with low production and processing cost.
